Nonetheless, Avanti is the first person on the planet to earn a dual degree from Harvard and Berkley School of Music. Imagine the talent!
Avanti is an Indian-American singer and songwriter who can sing over 12 languages—and here we are, struggling to get out of our beds every morning! Moving further on her musical journey, Avanti has performed her art all across India, the US, and many other parts of the world. No prizes for guessing that she has won numerous awards and accolades for her extraordinary talent.
Currently based out of Los Angeles, California, Avanti works in a production house but her dreams are bigger than that, and unlimited! So, how did music happen to her? To begin with, this multi-talented artist was born in a musical family. Her father plays tabla and her mother loves listening to devotional music. She grew up listening to a varied type of devotional as well as spiritual music. She moved to Mumbai from the US at the age of 8, and started learning Indian classical music. With time, her interest grew in piano as well. She is trained in Western Classical piano. Well, talk about her musical abilities! Indeed, she is a musical genius.
She considers her family and followers her biggest strength and motivation. Her guru, Dr. Prabha Atre, is her forever inspiration. An excited Avanti told a source, “She is 87, but still performs, creates, and doing what she loves. She is absolutely incredible.”
Her talents however are not limited to only music and singing. Avanti is also an actress, and was awarded the National Theatre Awards in India for her performance in the Broadway play ‘Agnes of God’. Even so, her first love will always be music.
Apart from music, Avanti also wishes to make this world a better way to place to live in. She wants to do the same through her music, philosophy and education. Social media has played a major role in her life. It gave her an opportunity to connect with her audience, and a platform to convey her music and thoughts to the world. She has always been real about her life and music, and hence, success has no other option but kiss her feet.
So, what’s next? Avanti has planned to release a new EP sometime in future. She will also be seen collaborating with artists, singers, and DJs of India. For now, she is flowing in the happiness of successfully finishing her dual degree from two of the best colleges in the world.
