Plot: Motichoor Chaknachoor is a movie directed by Debamitra Biswal featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Athiya Shetty. The movie is all about wedding and relationships.

Pushpender (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) plays an unmarried guy who is a 36-year-old jobless man and looking out for a bride, whereas, Anita (Athiya Shetty) plays a girl who only wants to marry an NRI. Things take a hilarious turn, when these two people end up tying the knot.

Review: The makers have somewhere leveraged this dream of a typical middle-class young girl aspiring to marry an NRI, to see the world around in an interesting way. The film opens slow but soon gains momentum by making people laugh with its funny dialogues and interesting puns cracked too often in this romantic comedy.

The couple is surely not the usual one and their funny goof-ups are even visible as the two take 'pheres'.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who started his innings with Amir Khan starrer ‘Sarfarosh’ has become one of the greatest working actors today. 2019 marks 20 glorious years in the film industry for him. And he has been always associated with intense, tough-guy roles but with ‘Motichoor Chaknachoor’ he has entered the world of a romantic comedy for the first time.

Talking about the performances, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has skilfully portrayed the right blend of emotions while playing the jobless Pushpender and has done a decent job that has impressed the audience in a big way.

Whereas, Athiya Shetty though did a decent job, she somewhere failed to portray the right set of emotions that were required to put the character right in the film. The rest of the cast like Vibha Chibber, Navni Parihar and others also did a decent job as well.

The direction seemed okay. Talking about the other elements like music and songs, the special appearance of Sunny Leone in the song Battiyan Bujhaado seemed icing on the cake. The background score was better, while the photography, choreography, editing, screenplay and other technical elements also seemed good.

Overall, Mootichoor Chaknachoor is a decent film to enjoy when it comes to comedy and for people looking for something light, Motichoor Chaknachoor is the right choice for this weekend.
