They receive able support from their British counterpart, Mallika Sood (Angira Dhar) in this mission.

Review: Director Aditya Datt goes overboard as he tries to pack as many emotions as possible in one film hence; COMMANDO 3 doesn’t start on a great note. The beginning portions seem a bit slow and not that engaging and is all about action. There is hardly any element to keep you engaged and the action is not for the weak-hearted either as the film delivers heavy-duty action, where the violence showed is brutal, bloody and gruesome with blood all over it. The second half is so stretched though it offers some twists and turns. It is only when the drama shifts to London that the film gets interesting.

Vidyut Jammwal as Commando Karanveer Singh Dogra impresses once again in a new action avatar. He steals the show as the daredevil who can stun you with every blow. And it is refreshing to see the leading ladies, Adah Sharma and Angira Dhar as well in tandem with the action boys in the hardcore action film. Whereas Gulshan Devaiah, despite a good track record as a villain doesn’t quite stand up to the barbaric and menacing character (Buraq Ansari), when compared to his past performances.

The first half of the story has enough action, but it takes time to gather momentum and draw you in. The basic plotline of one brave commando saving the nation at all costs from a series of terror attacks is common, but that is not the bigger problem here. For instance, the story rides on a belief that all citizens sans religion are patriotic. There is nothing wrong with the idea, but the dramatized execution hinges on to a utopia disregarding even logic at times. For instance, sharing news through WhatsApp in a matter of three hours all over the country with a goal to awake the patriotic sentiments is not just far-fetched but altogether impossible.

The portrayal is far-fetched, defies logic and tries to pack in so much that it loses the hold and pace at times. The background score tries to elevate the drama but is often overbearing.

In a nutshell, Commando 3 is high on action but misses a strong storyline and is a one-time watch for an action-masala lover.
