Akshay Kumar to inaugurate Maniesh Paul’s show
The superstar will be the first guest on the game show that will start next month!
Maniesh Paul will be hosting a Bollywood game show, ‘Movie Masti With Maniesh Paul’. Akshay Kumar will be the first guest on the show that’s slated to go on air next month. A light-hearted programme, it will unravel the unseen side of B-Town celebs with tricky tasks and rapid-fire film quizzes.
“When I approached Akshay sir for it, he said, ‘Maniesh tera show hai, baat hi khatam’, I’ll be there for you’. He is a superstar with zero attitude. He is super grounded. He is so forthcoming — he won’t say main ye nahi karunga ya karunga. He gets involved in the show. He has been a guest on other shows I have hosted and it’s always been a lot of fun. We have a Punjabi connect and our humour matches,” says Maniesh, who was recently seen visiting the Khiladi at his residence.
Television’s popular host considers the Kesari star as his role model. “I’ve always looked up to Akshay sir; he started from scratch and today is one of the biggest superstars. Whether it is his punctuality, fitness or dedication, he is so inspiring. Now, I look forward to shooting with him for my show,” he says.
Maniesh has another reason to cheer — this is the first series with his name in the title! “Yes, and it feels good... I started with ZEE in 2004 and today they are making a show with my name. All I can say is God is kind,” he smiles.
