After remaking Pink in Tamil with Nerkonda Paarvaai, producer Boney Kapoor acquires rights of Tamil film Comali to remake it in Hindi and other languages
Producer Boney Kapoor, who forayed into Tamil industry with the remake of Pink, Nerkonda Paarvaai with superstar Ajith has now acquired the remake rights of Tamil hit Comali.
Boney’s company Bayview Projects has acquired the rights of the film for all languages including Hindi. He would be remaking the Hindi version with his actor-son Arjun Kapoor, he also plans to make it in Telugu and Kannada.
Confirming the same Boney Kapoor said, “We are pleased to have acquired remake rights of Comali for all languages in the world. In Hindi remake, Arjun will star.”
Comali is a film which is about a man who faces difficulties in adjusting with the current era after waking up from coma. The film originally starred Jayam Ravi, Kajal Aggarwal and Samyuktha Hegde the lead roles and is written and directed by Pradeep Ranganathan.
Boney Kapoor is currently producing Maidaan with Ajay Devgn directed by Amit Sharma, based on golden era of Indian Football that has completed its first shooting schedule while his first Telugu film, an official remake of Badhai Ho is slated to go on floor soon.
