An announcement made by Twitter recently has created a stir in the broadcasting platform saying that "Unwanted messages aren't fun. So, we're testing a filter in your DM requests to keep those out of sight, out of mind." And those upcoming changes include the following:

  • So, it has decided to create a new tab 'Message Requests', under which the messages categorized as spam will be kept separately. This new filter is being applied to test the spam and offensive messages from the direct message inbox. For this reason, Twitter has allowed its users to keep their DM inbox open to receive all kinds of messages from unknown people also so that it can know the capability of its newly-built innovation.
  • The Direct Message inbox will also include a search tool and the iOS Live photos in the form of GIFs.
  • This newly added feature will help users to search any message by the name of a specific person or via the profile name in the search bar and possibly by a Twitter handle.

Around the last month, this popular site had invested in redesigning its desktop interface. It is also following up with a newly featured plan where people can subscribe to the tweet discussion option where they can be easily notified in case of any replies.

Every social platform has its pros and cons but with proper management and developing plans using which it can be secured to a great extent.
