However, in spite of this curse, Ne Zha’s parents shower unconditional love on him and do everything possible in order to safeguard their son against his nature and bad fate. They also need to protect him from the distrusting and frightened villagers and the battling guardians.

The story of the movie Ne Zha happens to be inspired by Chinese mythology. It is also said to be based upon the book The Investiture of the Gods to some extent.

Review: This animated movie features stunning visuals with empowering messages, which are sure to keep the audience engaged until the end. That being said, however, the storyline of the movie can be a bit confusing for the viewers initially with no visible connection with the Chinese mythical cursed boy. The endless violence and action may also prove to be very irritating for elderly and critical viewers.

The negatives kept apart, the movie has got some immensely positive lessons about self-control, self-belief, and fitting in. The film also carries a tinge of humour as well as sillier sequences. The animation of the film is absolutely amazing, especially the scenes manifesting a coloured landscape, which the characters can escape only by colouring out their way.

Overall, Ne Zha is a wonderful movie for both parents as well as children. Apart from entertaining you to the fullest, this Chinese movie can teach you a host of good things.
