A seat is permanently reserved for Lord Shiva!                 

Varanasi: A train, Kashi Maha Express that connects three Jyotirlinga was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, February 16 at Varanasi Junction. This train will start plying on the route Varanasi-Ujjain-Indore from February 20.

Seat no 64. of the coach B5 is designated to Lord Shiva. Railway Authorities have kept few pictures and turned that seat into a Lord Shiva's mini temple. Offerings and prayers are considered on auspicious days. It will be playing the role of a mini temple for devotees, which will pull tourists from across the country and around the world.

The Kashi Maha Express will connect Kashi Vishwanath (Varanasi), Mahakaleshwar (Ujjain) and Omkareshwar (Near Indore) Jyotirlingas. It will be scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays, twice in the week. It is going to have an offer of the package to visit eight religious spots during the journey. People can choose this package online even after boarding the train. Travellers can enjoy the Bhajans in the train by using the speaker installed in the train.

Five security guards will be on duty in each coach of the train and passengers can have Rail Travel Insurance up to 10 Lacs. The train would have a catering facility that is going to be optional with Three Hundred INR.

The train is going to feature twenty reserved seats for Senior Citizens, six for women and four for disabled or with special abilities. The train would not have the facility of Tatkal reservation but you can get tickets even 5 minutes before the scheduled time.
