Say No to Plastic! Two brothers Spread awareness through bicycle ride in India

Mumbai: Two brothers Arun Balasubramanian (Age 22 yrs) studying BE. IT and Shreekanth Balasubramanian (Age 20 yrs) studying B.Tech have travelled from Kanniyakumari to Mumbai - Gateway of India through bicycles followed by their parents in car. The initiative is taken by two brothers to spread awareness about plastic issues as due to plastic there are lots of harmful impacts on environment.

Plastic pollution is a glaring problem that is consuming our planet earth every single day. In light of various environmental hazards that the use of this material poses, it is imperative that we shift to alternatives that are more sustainable and eco-friendlier, amidst the drive to eradicate the use of plastic.

The duo travelled all the way long from Kanniyakumari to Gateway of India (Mumbai) through bicycles just to spread awareness about plastic issues. They started their journey on 8th September and ended on 18th September and finished their task after meeting Sion Koliwada BJP MLA Captain Tamil Selvan in his office.

MLA Tamil Selvan felicitated their parents with shawl and the brothers with garland of flowers for taking such an initiative step towards plastic awareness. Also, MLA Selvan gifted the brothers Rs. 10,000 as a token for taking this initiative, a step towards the betterment of our society. Both the brother's native place is Tamil Nadu, Sivakashi, Kallamanayagapatti.
