May 16, 2019 was a day of pride for Bollywood star, Shahid Kapoor as came face-to-face with his wax figure at Madam Tassaud’s museum in Singapore—and you just can’t tell the difference between the two!

The 38-years-old actor shared the photo on his Instagram handle with the hash tag #Twinning. Shahid’s wife, Mira Kapoor, who was also present at the event, shared his photo on her own social media page, and wrote, “Taking mine home but left one for you, Madam.”

With his newly unveiled wax figure at the famous museum, Shahid joined the league of superstars such as Amitabh Bacchan, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Madhuri Dixit. His wax statue was striking in a way that its eyes, beard and hair looked exactly the same as our beloved Bollywood actor.

She also had a laugh at the revelation of her husband’s wax statue. “My wife called up Madame Tassauds and said, ‘I’m tired of other women wanting to do weird things with him. I want to feel like a normal wife whose husband is just mine. So, please make a wax statue of him so that everybody who wants to do that can do that,” Shahid said with a grin.

Adorned in a grey suit with black bow-tie and trousers, the figure looked like a mirror image of Shahid, who himself was dressed in blue pinstriped suit. Mira looked gorgeous in a figure-hugging black gown and stayed by her man’s side to cheer for him on his big day.

7 days before the unveiling of the figure, Shahid posted a photo on his social media channel to share his happiness with the world. In the same post, he revealed that it took 200 measurements during one sitting to build the magnificent wax figure.

Even though this is the first and only wax statue of the actor, the resemblance between the two is uncanny. Shahid personally found the eyes of the statue as most spectacular feature. He said, “I think that’s the most difficult thing to get right because your eyes reflect your soul. You can see life in the eyes. And they’ve done an amazing job, so it was spectacular.”

The Jab We Met star considers himself to be more handsome than his wax statue but knows it won’t last long. He said, “See, that guy will stay young all his life. For the time being, I can say I’m more handsome. Very soon he’ll start looking younger and better than me and I’ll have a complex every time I look at him. And he’ll remind me of those years when I used to look like this really suave, nice, good looking guy in a suit and I’ll be old… It’s actually making me feel sad now.”

Apart from having his own wax figure in the museum, Shahid is all set for his latest movie, Kabir Singh, which is set to be released on June 21.
