Fashion designer Arun Ahuja gets honoured in the UK
Coming up with his own design house and taking it to great heights was a dream that Arun Ahuja nurtured for many years. Today, his luxury design house, Mehraab, is a premium brand that masters the art of fashion. A huge credit for the brand’s success goes to Arun, who has managed to drive Mehraab to great heights over the decades.
Now, the brand has become so popular that it wins laurels, not just in India, but also abroad. Recently, his efforts were recognised at the House of Common, in UK, when he won the Excellence Award for Emerging Fashion Designer. Senior Bollywood actor Sanjay Kapoor presented the trophy to Arun at the prestigious ceremony.
“I started out in the world of real estate, but soon realised that alongside that, fashion was also my calling. A lot of hard work and determination has been invested in taking Mehraab where it is today. I’m extremely inclined towards art and fashion, hence, I try to constantly evolve my approach. I felt humbled to receive the the Excellence Award for Emerging Fashion Designer in the UK. Getting it from Mr Sanjay Kapoor felt great. Getting this award has only encouraged me to get better at what I do,” says Arun, whose design house is known for recreating the royal fashion for millennials with bold silhouettes and profound embroideries.
