Plot: On the morning of 19th September, 2008, Delhi Police led by Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma had found out the rented address: L-18, Batla House of Jamia Nagar which was the shelter for the leader of Indian Mujahideen- Atif Amin and his comrades who were the suspects of connection with the serial bomb blasts in Delhi few days back on 13th September, 2008 killing 30 people and injuring 100 men.  The Police encountered 5 terrorists. In between the fire exchange, it was said that two were killed: Atif Amin and Mohammad Sajid, two were arrested Mohammad Saif and Zeeshan, one managed to escape- Ariz Khan. Though later, Mohammad Saif was found not dead and was located in Syria as an ISIS recruiter.

The Police took charge against the comrades and made sure it went to court. The case was filed against Shahzad Ahmad, Ariz Khan, Atif Ameen and Mohammad Sajid on 28th April 2010 accusing them of killing Inspector Sharma. There was rising rage between political parties and seeing the after math of the encounter the media, civilians and politicians were against Delhi Police stating everything as a false encounter. The high court then asked the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to look into the Police's side of the encounter matter and submit a report within two months. After several allegations in the court, on 28th August, the court found Yashin Bhatkal, chief of IM guilty with 70 witnesses and six eyewitnesses. It was learned that before the encounter some time back Yashin had fled.

The movie directed by Nikhil Advani, stars John Abraham and Mrunal Thakur. The controversy of Batla House encounter has made everybody question the worth of sacrifice of Delhi Police Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma. The clash between the Police and Indian Mujahideen (IM) has been revealed unfolding all the doubts and queries. The quarrels between political parties and other controversies are unveiled.

John Abraham’s intense portrayal of DCP Sanjeev Kumar has held the tight grip to success. People are interested to know the truth behind all the dirty politics. The characters are performed well by the starred actors. The item song performed by Nora Fatehi has made the audience more excited. Her sensuality has made the song more watchable and appealing.
