Arunachal reports 12 new COVID-19 cases
Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh reported 12 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, taking the tally to 16,873, a health official said.
Seven of the new cases were reported from the Lower Dibang Valley district, three from Leparada, and one each from Namsai and Capital Complex, he said.
Three Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawans and an Army personnel were among the new patients, State Surveillance Officer Lobsang Jampa said.
Three of the new patients are symptomatic, he said.
Arunachal Pradesh currently has 29 active cases.
The death toll in the state is 56.
As many as 16,788 persons have recovered from the disease so far, Jampa said.
Altogether, 4,16,046 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in the state, including 499 on Thursday, he said.
State Immunisation Officer Dimong Padung said that a total of 96,887 people have been inoculated in the state so far.
