Review: Angel Has Fallen is basically the third release of the “Has Fallen” franchise. It showcases the struggles undertaken by Mike Banning to prove his innocence and come out of the false allegations put on him.

Coming to the script and direction of the film, Angel Has Fallen has not got anything that can be exciting enough for the audience to watch. The action scenes of the film are framed up in a way that it is really a bit painful to sit up and watch patiently. There are a lot of jump cuts and certain scenes are very close up. This leaves the audience in a scenario where they would end up finding it difficult to determine what’s really going on. During the night time, especially, you cannot really figure out who is dead, who is stabbed, who is alive, and who is doing what at a particular point of time as the script jumps all through the entire space at a very quick pace. Although film director Ric Roman Waugh has tried to do his best, yet the multiple cuts within a single action scene have made things go wrong miserably.

Now, jumping on to the performance of the different characters, we can definitely say that Gerard Butler has done a pretty good job playing the role of United States Secret Service agent, Mike Banning. His expressions, confidence, and energy are no doubt bang on! The same goes on with Morgan Freeman, who plays the United States President Allan Trumbell. The actor has undoubtedly done justice to his character. Piper Perabo, who plays the role of Mike’s wife, Leah Banning has replaced Radha Mitchell, the actress who was seen playing this character in the previously released “Has Fallen” movies. The actress does not have to do much according to the script. She is just limited to a few scenes that are not that notable and are easily forgettable. Had the script not had Perabo, it would not have made any significant difference in the movie. One of the actors who has given an undoubtedly marvelous performance in the movie is Nick Nolte, who has played the role of Clay Banning, the father of Mike. Considering his age, the energy that can be depicted from his performance is just incredible. After watching this movie, you can surely say that Nolte is a truly versatile actor.

Overall, Angel Has Fallen can be a good watch for you if you are a huge fan of action movies or were already expecting the third installment of the “Has Fallen” franchise.
