As promised last year, Shri Kavi Narayan Agrawal ‘Das Narayan’ & Smt Hema Malini along with Shri Anup Jalota and Shri Vivek Prakash launched two devotional songs under the prestigious banner of Zee Music on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami to seek Lord Krishna’s blessings.

Hema Malini’s association with Kavi Narayan Agarwal has been of Bhakti Pada and this is first time she  has sang a duet and that too with Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota.

A duet song sung titled 'JIS PRABHU NEY' and song 'KISHORI JHULA' - as a solo of Hema Malini .

An ardent Lord Krishna follower, Hema Malini has been giving classical performances related to stories of Radha-Krishna for many years. In fact, she also launched her devotional album last year. Continuing her devotional musical journey, this year too she has sung two devotional songs along with Shri Kavi Narayan Agrawal ‘Das Narayan’, Shri Anup Jalota and Shri Vivek Prakash.

The lyrics are written by Shri Kavi Narayan Agarwal while it is composed by Anup Jalota. The composition and lyrics of the Bhajan have a unique blend.  Overall this is a priceless gift for the Brijwasi’s and Krishna Bhakt’s all over the world. Bhajan’s like this will be heard and remembered for eternities to come.

Bhajan Samrat Shri Anup Jalota says "On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami with the blessings of Shri Krishna our two devotional songs have released today. I have a long association with Kavi Narayan Agarwalji and have sung one of the song with Hema Malini ji, as a singer and I must say she was extremely hard working and so efficient as a singer too and sounds seasoned. It was a pleasure working with her,  I am sure the audience will love it too"

Smt Hema Malini says "This is my third year of association with Kavi Narayan Agarwalji. I am glad that both my singles are releasing on the occasion of Janamashtami and it’s my token of respect and devotion towards Lord Krishna. I always wanted to explore the singing aspect and  Narayanji helped in making me accomplish and enjoy this musical journey with Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalotaji. I sang a duet and it’s been an honor for me to sing with him and I am glad it is releasing and the audience will enjoy hopefully the Krishna bhajans, and also I must thank Vivek  Prakash for the composition of my bhajan jis prabhu ney."

“Both the Bhajans are not a mere collection of words. It is a compounded set of words with enormous significance. We seek Lord Krishna’s blessings to help us get through this tough time. Guide us the way you lead Arjuna in the batter of Mahabharata” says Shri Kavi Narayan Agrawal.

With these two bhajans, they are going to immerse the audience, fans, and bhaktas in Bhakti Rang.
