We cannot work properly if we are in a messy area. If your workplace is untidy you will not be able to concentrate. You will not be effective and efficient in your work. If you maintain your workplace to be neat and tidy, it results in greater productivity. This year, wherever you are working from – be it home, school, or any other place, may sure to keep it neat.

2. Prioritize

We cannot handle every task at the same time. Hence, list out your work and responsibilities. Make sure to finish tasks in the order of deadlines, or based on your personal importance. This will help you to get through an overwhelming amount of work.

3. Organize

Sit down on a Sunday night before the week begins and write down everything you have planned for the week. It can be the work at school, going to the gym, or the tasks at the workplace. By planning for the week beforehand, you may know in advance what you are going to do the week ahead. It helps you to get an idea of what is to be done. This list helps you remain organized for the week.

If you have a lot of work, then organize your tasks. Make a schedule of the tasks you will be doing. Schedule everything in your dairy, your calendar or your planner. Planners can be your best friend. Thus, you can have everything all together in a convenient location and you will not overlook or forget something if you have it in your planner.

4. Know your limits

Always plan your tasks in a required time period as per your capability to complete them. It is good to be active and involved, but don't exhaust yourself. When you have too many tasks that are beyond your ability to complete in the time planned, you will feel the impact probably during mid-terms or finals week.

When you engage in more tasks than you can actually do, there are chances that you may miss out on some tasks. Do not over-commit yourself. It can also be that you would not be able to enjoy doing all the tasks. Make your workload more manageable.

5. Self-care

Take care of yourself. Make time for yourself. If you are constantly occupied by work, then finally you will end up losing the drive and motivation to get things done. Thus, give little breaks between your tasks. You can indulge in watching a TV episode or taking a good peaceful bath. These little breaks between your work can boost your energy and overall happiness.

Another way to take care of yourself is to eat healthy meals and work out regularly. Exercise at least for 15 to 30 minutes a day to improve your mental health and energy levels. This is because when you exercise, your brain releases endorphins that make you feel better. Workouts deliver oxygen and nutrients to your tissues. It also improves cognition and prevents brain degeneration.
