Redmi entered the budget flagship segment with its Redmi K20 series a few months ago. While the Redmi K20 and the K20 Pro were a total hit, the popular Chinese smartphone manufacturer is already working on its successor, the Redmi K30 series. Speaking of which, a recent leak suggests that Redmi K30 may launch by the end of 2019 and the K30 Pro will make its way to the market next year in 2020.

The launch timelines were suggested by a popular tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore on Twitter, stating that Redmi K30 will launch before the end of this year, meaning we might hear an announcement over the next few weeks. Xiaomi has already confirmed that it’s currently working on its Redmi K30 series. The Redmi General Manager, Lu Weibing, had revealed that Redmi K30 will be a cheaper device as compared to the Redmi K30 Pro.

Xiaomi further recently confirmed that its first 5G smartphone from the sub-brand Redmi is going to be the Redmi K30. Reports on the popular Chinese microblogging site, Weibo has also suggested that the Redmi K30 will run on a MediaTek SoC to offer the latest generation cellular connectivity. This will make Redmi K30 the second Smartphone by Redmi to feature a MediaTek SoC.

Now although the leak suggests that Redmi K30 will launch by the end of 2019, it’s highly unlikely that Redmi will launch the series separately. Redmi hasn’t revealed any official information surrounding the launch of its Redmi K30 series.
