Narendra Mohan, an eminent Hindi poet,  playwright, and critic passes away.  He also used to write in Punjabi.  Narendra Mohan is known for his controversial play Mr.Jinnah. 

He has also edited the works of Saadat Hassan Manto. Honored by Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sansthan-Sahitya Bhusan Samman and Sahityakar Samman by Hindi Academy, Delhi.

He is a literary trendsetter of two movements in Hindi Poetry called 'Vichar Kavita' and 'Lambi Kavita'. He has published twelve collections of poems, Nine plays, Thirteen books of literary criticism, and Twenty edited books on various themes and genres.

His poems, plays, and critical articles have been translated into Punjabi, Urdu, Marathi, English, Telugu, Kannad, and other Indian languages.
