Bhopal: Two days after entering Madhya Pradesh, the south-west monsoon is playing truant again.

A day after covering Indore, monsoon has become inactive in the state and is unlikely to set in in the state as of now, India Meteorological Department's (IMD) Bhopal office meteorologist, Gurudutt Mishra, told PTI Wednesday.

The south-west monsoon had entered the eastern and southern Madhya Pradesh on June 24.

"The pause in advancement of monsoon is expected to wither between July 1 and July 3 after which it is expected to cover the remaining parts of the state," Mishra said.

He said rainfall was experienced in parts of Rewa, Shahdol, Sagar, Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Chambal, Jabalpur, Hoshnagabad and Ujjain divisions in the last 24 hours.
