Innovent Technologies launches GoKea, a Hyperlocal and 3PL service

Hyderabad: With the COVID-19 enforced ‘Stay Home Stay Safe’ regime, a huge demand for Hyper local delivery and 3PL services has emerged over the last one year. For most restaurants & enterprise, lack of logistics services is a major difficulty in delivering, sending, and receiving of food, groceries and other items. With the predictions of a third wave and no sight of the pandemic ending any time soon, E-commerce is growing as the only sustainable mode of getting business done.

Gokea, a Hyderabad based start-up is a rapidly growing platform which addresses this issue by customising delivery solutions based on the client’s requirement, making it a unique logistics service provider. The features of the app include a platform for promoting deliveries for B2B and B2C customers across India. Technology at GoKea solves deeper problems in the express logistics domain, across food, grocery, pharmacy, and ecommerce segments. It helps deliver shipments across categories, ensuring cost optimisation and a superior and consistent user experience.

To begin with GoKea will operate in South India for its clients Haldiram, Swiggy, Zomato, Shadowfax, Apollo Pharmacy, Fitness Bowl, QMart, Hukum, Booozie, amongst others and has plans to immediately recruit 2,000 riders in Hyderabad alone.

Manu Mathew, Co-Founder and CEO of Gokea said “We are building the fastest and most reliable logistics network by empowering a million micro entrepreneurs through technology to deliver anything, anywhere. The E-retail market is on the cusp of rapid growth due to technological advances and swift change in the mindset of the customer who prefers goods delivered at ease. The entrepreneurs across segments are coming to terms with this new normal as the most prudent way to optimise sales. In the pilot phase, our ability to create tailor made solutions to suit various businesses has given us the edge. We understand that every business cannot afford to invest in technology or permanent hiring of riders, hence we provide easier solutions such as On-demand rider positioning. This works well for many clients whose business are volatile and yet gives them the ability to scale up with no strings attached.”

With the rising uncertainty and impact on employment, Gokea intends to create 10,000+ jobs over the next 12 months.

Vivekanand Balijepalli, Co-Founder and CFO of Gokea said, “An exclusive platform such as GoKea will give the user a platform to send and receive their goods faster and cheaper than before. Different businesses require fulfilment support, and having their own fleet isn’t feasible for each one. This service can be outsourced, and we wanted to be that provider of choice, as a new player it was important to ensure that the product creates trust in the user. A logistics unit backend processes seem as important as the UI & UX of the product.”

The Indian E-commerce market has grown at an average of 20% in the last year post COVID-19 and is expected to have a GMV of $120Bn by 2025 propelled by 300 Million users. ‘Work from Home’ is seeing a massive migration from Metros to Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities as GoKea aims at providing its services in these emerging markets.

“At Innovent, employment generation is the biggest driving force. Flexible timings, order-based remuneration; GPS tracking make it an attractive and a safe option for both men and women to come on board,” added Manu Mathew.
