Before the presser went live, the two were heard discussing about some of the strategies. "Lala hai na, Siraj, sabko round the wicket," could be heard on an audio clip that has surfaced online.

India are set to take on New Zealand in the World Test Championship (WTC) final to be played on June 18. When asked to share his views on the WTC format, Shastri opined that a best-of-three final should be the ideal way to go forward in order to decide the winner.

"Ideally, in the long run if they want to pursue with the Test championship, a best-of-three final would be ideal -- a three-match final as culmination of two and a half years of cricket around the globe. Best of three would have been ideal," said Shastri in a media interaction on the eve of the team's departure to England.

With most of the players around the globe staying in a bio-bubble, mental health has become an important aspect of the sport. Kohli added that apart from managing the workload of the players, the mental aspect also needs to be kept in mind as it is equally important.

"With the current structure and the kind of structure we are competing inside, it is very difficult to stay motivated and find that mental space, being confined in one area and just doing the stuff day in and day out and dealing with pressure situations. This will definitely become a norm of the future, apart from the workload, the mental aspect will also come into the picture big time," said Kohli.
