Guy Kawasaki Wins Best Show 2020 At Golden Crane Podcast Awards; Show Makes History With Podcasting Livestreaming App
"It's an exciting time for podcasting right now," AAP co-founder Andrew Wang said. "We're so thrilled for Guy Kawasaki and his team for their work on Remarkable People."
Close to 100 submissions from across the globe, including Malaysia, India, Australia and England, entered to win the 15 categories offered this year, Wang said.
"Our inaugural podcast awards show brought out the industry's leading talent among Asian and Asian American podcast creators," AAP co-founder Lee Uehara said. "This includes the work of kid podcasters."
AAP also made podcast history because the show was aired live as a podcast via Podbean's app. People who could not attend the virtual show were able to listen on any device at any location.
"The Podbean team is excited to be able to support these awards and the community of AAP. We love seeing more initiatives to honor creators and recognize the diverse voices in podcasting," Podbean's Shannon Martin said. "What a great way to celebrate the end of a big year for podcasts and have some fun on Podbean Live!"
The AAP Golden Crane Awards 2021 will be held on December 21, 2021. Submissions will be accepted from November 1, 2021. All are welcome.
