Winter is here and the joy of walking in the warm winter sun is a pleasure for all of us. We can have a lot of fun and frolic planned with our friends and family members.

Along with all the joy, winter brings the issue of dry and patchy skin. Which means, it’s time to discard all your summer skin care routines and turn towards some homemade face packs that will act as a moisturizer for your dry skin.

These do-it-yourself homemade packs will help you get a glowing skin during the winter season.

1. Coffee Powder and Olive Oil

Nourish your skin with the goodness of olive oil and instant coffee powder for a wonderful moisturizer.

All you need to do is to take a tablespoon of instant coffee powder and add one to two teaspoons of olive oil. Now make a paste out of this mixture. This will exfoliate your skin. Apply this face pack to your face and skin and leave it for 15 minutes. Then wash your face and skin with lukewarm water.

Now pat dry your skin and feel moisturized. Follow this regime regularly.

2. Banana Pack

Banana is one of the best natural moisturizers, which will make your skin soft and supple. Honey will remove the bacteria that are the cause of growth of acnes and pimples on your face.

You must take one ripe banana and mash it well. To the mashed banana, add one tablespoon of honey and a teaspoon of milk cream. Milk cream is the best moisturizing cream. Now make paste of this mixture and apply it gently on your skin. Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes. Then wash it off with lukewarm water.

3. Besan Flour and Wild Turmeric Paste

If your skin is patchy and dry, hydrate it with a mixture of besan flour and wild turmeric.

To a bowl add one to two tablespoons of besan flour. Then add 1 teaspoon of wild turmeric, along with a teaspoon of milk cream. Make it into a paste by adding milk. Now apply this face pack on your face and neck. Wash it with warm water after 20 minutes. Massage gently.

4. Beetroot Pack

If you have too much of dead skin, then try out this pack.

To a bowl add one tablespoon of Fuller's earth, 3/4 the teaspoon beetroot powder, one to two tablespoons of curd and one to two drops of genuine almond oil. Now apply and rub the mixture on your face in circular motions for 15 minutes.

Wash your face and you will find your face to be truly soft and fresh.

5. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is a good moisturizer. It makes your skin supple and soft. In a bowl, add one to two tablespoons of coconut oil and crushed sugar. This pack acts as a good exfoliate.

Apply it to your dry and patchy skin. Leave it for 20 minutes and then wash with warm water.

6. Licorice Pack

You can try this face pack for the dead skin cells. To a small bowl add 3/4th tablespoon of licorice powder, 3/4th tablespoon of besan flour, a pinch of turmeric, 1 teaspoon of lime juice and add enough milk to make the paste.

You can refrigerate this mixture and then apply to your face. Then wash your face with warm water after 20 minutes.

Use this face pack twice a week for best results.

7. Sandalwood Powder Pack

To get a glowing skin, add together one to tablespoon of sandalwood powder and one teaspoon of honey, which prevents bacteria. Then add 1 to 2 teaspoons of aloe vera gel. This pack provides hydration to your skin.

Now apply and rub the mixture in circular motions for at least 15 minutes. Wash it with warm water.
