Discover Alpha extends its Datahawk privacy platform to support CCPA requirements
CHICAGO: Discover Alpha, a leading provider of data engineering solutions, is extending its AI/ML-based data privacy suite DataHawk, to support several new compliance regulations including the upcoming California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Discover Alpha is currently assisting several Fortune 1000 companies in meeting the CCPA regulation as well as other expected future state and federal regulations.
Effective 2020, CCPA is the first privacy law in the United States that expands the rights of consumers by making it mandatory for companies to be more transparent about how they collect, use, and disclose personal information. The law in its current state applies to organizations with $25 million+ in annual gross revenues, or if 50%+ annual revenue is derived from selling consumer's personal information.
Data Subject Access Rights (DSARs), a key requirement of CCPA, give consumers the right to
· Discover what data an organization is holding about them and why
· Opt-out of their personal data being sold
· Delete data associated with an individual on request
