WASHINGTON: Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc., of Johnson City, Tennessee, is celebrating the continued success of What's Right, by Patty Presnell Kinkead!

Patty Presnell Kinkead grew up in northeastern Tennessee with her mom, dad, and her two younger sisters. She graduated valedictorian from East Tennessee State University with a degree in Liberal Arts. Kinkead has

always enjoyed children's literature and is thrilled to have published What's Right, which she both wrote and illustrated.

What's Right is a humorous take on a serious subject. In it, Stumpy the squirrel learns about the value of hard work. In 2019 the book was mentioned in The Wall Street Journal in an article titled "Reading From Left to Left at Barnes & Noble" by Dave Seminara.

Seminara is quoted as saying, "Who could resist What's Right, the story of Stumpy, a squirrel who learns that 'expecting handouts is wrong and working hard is right.'" What's Right was labeled as one of the hidden gems of the conservative-themed children's books carried by Barnes & Noble.

Seminara's article was also mentioned by Laura Ingraham on The Ingraham Angle as she and children's book critic, Meghan Gurdon, further discussed politically themed children's stories.

What's Right boasts nearly four stars and a multitude of reviews on Amazon, including comments like the following, "What's Right is a delightfully written and cutely illustrated book. This book tells a fun story while teaching children about personal responsibility and the rewards of hard work. A right principled lesson and a focus on self-worth cap the "tail" of Stumpy. I highly recommend this book for children and adults alike." —Amazon Reviewer

During this year of continuous and booming political conversations, What's Right continues to grow in sales and popularity.

What's Right can be purchased through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and through Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc.

Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc., includes a multitude of imprints. Each imprint specializes in a particular genre—from Appalachian stories to children's books and more. At JCP, we believe 'every story needs a book.'
