Chhattisgarh records 216 new coronavirus cases, 2 deaths
Raipur: With 216 new COVID-19 cases and two more deaths being reported on Tuesday, Chhattisgarh's infection count climbed to 3,13,032 and the toll to 3,844, a health department official said.
The number of people who have recovered from the infection rose to 3,06,352 after 19 people were discharged from various hospitals, while 173 patients completed their home isolation during the day, leaving the state with 2,836 active cases, he said.
Raipur district reported 68 new cases, the highest in the state, taking its total count to 55,717, including 807 deaths.
Durg registered 23 new cases and Dhamtari 19, among other districts, he said.
With 26,674 more tests in the last 24 hours, the number of samples examined in the state for detection of coronavirus went up to 48,66,033, the official said.
