Aster Wayanad launches India’s first post-COVID rejuvenation centre

Hyderabad: To address the physical as well as the mental health issues faced by patients recovered from COVID-19, Aster Wayanad has launched the country’s first post-COVID rejuvenation centre. The centre, Rejuve at Aster Wayanad, offers a multi-disciplinary rejuvenation package combining modern medicine, Ayurveda, yoga, recreational activities and leisure trips.

Soorya Krishnamurthy, Founder Director, Soorya Stage and Film Society, inaugurated the centre via video conferencing in the presence of Dr. Azad Moopen, Chairman and Managing Director, Aster DM Healthcare. Dr. Harish Pillai, CEO, Aster India, presided over the function.

Dr. Azad Moopen, CMD Aster DM Healthcare said that a large number of people have been complaining of post-COVID problems physical as well as psychological. “People who have recovered from COVID-19 are facing several issues. Many of them have been experiencing breathing problems, chest pain and other problems after recovering from COVID. They also have memory loss and difficulty in concentration. Many of them are troubled by joint pain too,”.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Azad Moopen, said “COVID is termed as a long-term illness at least in some people. It is being treated mostly by modern medicine. But the rejuvenation and post-COVID treatment should be holistic involving all systems and there was no better place to do it at  Wayanad as along with whatever is being provided by doctors and yoga practitioners, there will be also nature which itself is the best healer.

Basheer U., Executive Trustee, DM Education and Research Foundation, has launched the web page of Rejuve at Aster Wayanad. Farhan Yasin, Cluster CEO, Aster MIMS Kannur, Calicut and Kottakkal, and Dr. Manoj Narayanan, Medical Superintendent, jointly released the brochure. Dr. Jacob Alappatt, Consultant, Neurosurgeon, Aster MIMS Kozhikode, released the video. Vancheeswaran, President, Wayanad Tourism Organization and Dr. Shanavas Palliyal, Assistant General Manager, Operations, DM WIMS, were also present at the function.
