The petitions-filed by IMPPA and actor Pramod Pandey in Bombay High Court on the issue of 'restrictions on working of film personalities over 65 years of age,' imposed by Maharashtra Government, were combined and tagged together by the bench of honorable Justice S J Kathawala and Justice Riyaz Chagla - who declared that Senior counsel Sharad Jagtiani is appointed as the amicus curiae who is to assist the court, after going through all the facts of the case.

IMPPA and Pramod Pande were represented by Advocate Ashok Saraogi and the Maharashtra Government advocate Purnima Kanthariya will file the reply on Saturday. The court asked the government lawyer if there is any provision to stop a 70 years old shop owner from working in his shop, to which her reply was no and hence the judges asked her how can you stop only film people from doing work and earning their livelihood?

The matter was listed as partly heard and it was declared that this matter will be finally heard before the same bench of two judges on Wednesday 29-7-20 and will not be placed before any other bench.
