Reimagine Poetry With The Official Launch Of 'The Universe Is Explosive'

New Delhi: Delhi Poetry Slam is proud to launch a new collection of poems in a poetry book titled ‘The Universe is Explosive’ written by Sanjana Saksena Chandra. The book launched digitally on November 1st .

The book is a collection of 99 short poems, each no longer than 8 to 10 lines, which brings out the life lessons that surround us, that are hidden in plain sight. Ranging from everyday items like lights, fans, keys, lipstick, and handbags to the metaphysical such as love, dreams, and death, this book, through poetry, brings out a different perspective on all of them.

Written with an earnestness that belies its simplicity, it is an attempt by the poet to make readers see things differently. Illustrations by Aaliya Wahab have brought out the imagery of certain poems beautifully.

The book will be initially available for purchase on Amazon worldwide.

Talking about her second book, Sanjana says, “The concept of this book is based on the idea that anything can be inspirational. Everyday items can equally ignite imagination if only we look closely and think differently. The universe is replete with inspiration and that is where the title comes from. The poems were written to make one think and hope they will do exactly that.’

Sanjana’s first collection of poetry, ‘Sisyphus is Happy and Selected Poems’, released in May 2019, and was among the top 10 bestsellers in Poetry on Amazon on its release.
