Pakistan’s inaction exposed! Masood Azhar missing- NOT!
Ahead of the crucial meeting with terror watchdog FATF, Pakistan on Monday claimed that Jaishe-e-Mohammed terrorist Masood Azhar has gone missing. According to sources, Masood Azhar and his family are not missing but have been kept in a safe house ahead of the FATF meeting in Paris.
This week, the Paris-based global terror financing watchdog will evaluate whether Pakistan has taken sufficient steps and implemented its plan of action to fight terror financing or not. Many find it suspicious that Pakistan's claim comes just right before the crucial FATF meeting, which will evaluate Pakistan’s steps on curbing money laundering and financing terror activities.
More than 800 representatives from 205 countries and jurisdictions around the world, including the IMF, UN, World Bank, and other organizations, will take part in the meeting. In a separate tweet, Hussain expressed his concern over the visit of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to Pakistan.
According to sources, Masood Azhar and his family have been taken to a safe house in Bahawalpur. Sources say Masood Azhar has been kept at the Markaz Usman-o-Ali, which is the new Jaish-e-Mohammed headquarters.
Indian counterterror agencies have confirmed information that Maulana Masood Azhar, chief of the proscribed Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and the man on top of India’s “most wanted” list, is living under the highest security in a virtually bomb-proof house behind the terror group’s Bahawalpur headquarters at Markaz-e-Usman-o-Ali, Railway Link Road in Pakistan.
According to sources, Pakistan’s economic affairs minister Hammad Azhar stated that the administration ‘could not file’ a First Investigation Report (FIR) against Masood Azhar as he has apparently gone missing. Yes! As ridiculous as it sounds!
