Odisha logs 221 new COVID-19 cases, two fresh fatalities

Bhubaneswar: Odisha's COVID-19 tally rose to 13,27,150 on Monday as 221 more people, including 31 children, tested positive for the infection, a health bulletin said.

The state had recorded 257 infections and a fatality on Sunday.

The toll rose to 9,174, with Subarnapur and Nayagarh districts recording one death each. Besides, 53 other patients have died due to comorbidities so far, it said.

The state now has 1,994 active cases, while 13,15,929 patients have recovered from the disease to date, including 205 in the last 24 hours.

Odisha's daily positivity rate was at 1.49 per cent as the new infections were detected out of 14,853 samples that were tested.
