Light to moderate rainfall in parts of UP
Lucknow: Some parts of Uttar Pradesh received light to moderate rainfall on Sunday, while Kanpur was the hottest place in the state at 35.8 degrees Celsius.
Lucknow recorded the maximum temperature at 35.7 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 27.2 degrees Celsius, the Meteorological Department said.
Churk in Sonbhadra received 22.4 mm rainfall, Banda 7.4 mm, Allahabad 5.8 mm, Bahraich 4.4 mm, Hamirpur and Shahjahanpur 2.0 mm each and Varanasi 1.4 mm, it said.
