AP records 1,288 new COVID-19 cases
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh reported 1,288 fresh cases of COVID-19, 610 recoveries and five deaths in the 24 hours ending 9 am on Friday.
The state's COVID-19 chart now showed a total of 9,04,548 cases, 8,88,508 recoveries, and 7,225 deaths, according to the latest bulletin.
The active caseload went up to 8,815, it said.
Guntur district reported the highest 311 fresh cases, Chittoor 225, Visakhapatnam 191, and Krishna 164 while SPS Nellore too added 118 in 24 hours.
Prakasam district added 62, Srikakulam 54, Kurnool 52, Vizianagaram 31, East Godavari and Anantapuramu 26 each and Kadapa 21 new cases.
Only West Godavari registered just seven cases in a day.
Anantapuramu, Chittoor, Guntur, Prakasam, and Visakhapatnam districts reported one fresh COVID-19 fatality each.
