New Delhi: Owner of MDH ‘Mahashay’ Dharampal Gulati passed away on Thursday morning dur to cardiac arrest. He was 97.

As per the sources, he was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Delhi since last three weeks. The nonagenarian breathed list last at 5:30 AM.

Fondly called ‘dalaji’ and ‘Mahashayji’, Dharampal Gulati was born in 1923 in Sialkot, Pakistan. He was a school dropout and had joined his father’s spice business in the early days.

In 2019, Gulati was honoured with Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian award in the country.
