INGLEWOOD, Calif.: The City of Inglewood highlighted Don Lee Farms’ operation as “one more reason why the City of Inglewood continues to thrive.” The city’s social media team commended Don Lee Farms environmental and sustainability record of excellence, calling Don Lee Farms an “outstanding community partner.”

Danny Goodman, Development, Don Lee Farms, stated that “Inglewood has been a tremendous city to operate in. Being environmentally friendly has been the backbone of our company since we started.”

Mr. Goodman and Adriana Grimes, City of Inglewood, discussed Don Lee Farms’ sustainability and next-generation environmental upgrades to their refrigeration system, recycling, upcycling and waste water programs.

Mr. Goodman highlighted Inglewood’s importance to their operation and their commitment to prioritizing a regional supply chain: “The foods that we focus on are local and sustainable. We prioritize purchasing raw materials locally, producing locally and delivering locally – all within a 200-mile radius. Through Inglewood, we are able to focus on Central Valley purchasing, purchasing around Los Angeles County and in Southern California where local suppliers, farmers and ranchers have [ingredients] we can draw from.”

The City of Inglewood also mentioned Don Lee Farms’ annual contributions for local scholarships and support for community events, like the Annual Turkey Giveaway with Mayor Butts and Snoop Dogg, throughout the year.
