ALHAMBRA, Calif. (Pasadena): The Academy of Special Dreams Foundation, a Pasadena-based arts organization, announced today the opening of WHEELS UP 2021 – An Inclusive Art Exhibition, featuring  original works of art by a diverse group of 12 local and international artists.

"These featured artists represent a wide spectrum of race, ethnicity, gender, age and abilities, truly reflective of the diversity of our society," said Michael Dergar, CEO. "In curating this exhibition, we were guided by the principle that the struggle for social justice which has taken root in our country must incorporate everyone in society, including people living with disabilities."

"Consistent with our mission to provide opportunities for artists with disabilities that encourage, promote and showcase their artistic expressions, we believe art exhibitions can and should bring together artists of differing backgrounds so we may appreciate how they portray and communicate the diversity of their life experiences," said Michael Dergar, CEO.  "We give many thanks to The Alhambra and The Ratkovich Company for their endless support of the Academy of Special Dreams Foundation and WHEELS UP 2021 – An Inclusive Art Exhibition."

"We are so proud of our collaboration with the Academy of Special Dreams Foundation and our sponsorship of the WHEELS UP 2021 - An Inclusive Art Exhibition," noted Megan Moloughney, Senior Development Manager, The Alhambra.  "The Alhambra continually seeks ways to make a more inclusive and diverse community and this exhibition is a testament to the creativity of artists with special needs."
WHEELS UP 2021 – An Inclusive Art Exhibition will be on display at The Alhambra, an urban community located at 1000 Fremont Avenue, Alhambra, California 91803, through September 2021.
