The couple enters a nearby residence forcibly in search of new wheels for the car. However, things are not that easy for the love birds. Things take a turn and unknowingly Jules and Micky bump into a dark, ugly secret, which the sweet, but psychopathic homeowners, Gloria (Kyra Sedgwick) and George (Jeffrey Donovan) can do anything and everything to keep from getting unravelled.

Review: Although Villains has a plot that might seem like a thriller, yet it is actually a quirky, dark comedy. Of course, it is not that kind of a film that carries surprises all the way. You may guess a few plot points. However, the characters of this movie are way too much multi-layered for you to analyze as to what they would present next.

At the centre of the film's story, we have Micky (Bill Skarsgard) and Jules (Maika Monroe), who are young lovers. Although they portray as criminals and keep trying their hands in this field, they are total amateurs and end up creating a mess for themselves all the time. The next couple in the movie is George (Jeffrey Donovan) and Gloria (Kyra Sedgwick). They are not the characters that you will usually see in all stories. Well, they are different, yet quite entertaining in their roles.

Coming to the direction and script, the director-writer duo Robert Olsen and Dan Berk have done a really commendable job, and their 2nd feature film Villains shows this clearly. The script is undoubtedly engaging while the direction is quite appreciable. Robert Olsen and Dan Berk may soon develop a real, huge fan following if their works continue to be as impactful as Villains and obviously if they manage to have such awesome actors as the cast of their latest movie.

Overall, Villains is an awesome watch, and you will never regret paying to experience it on the big screen. So, go ahead and book your ticket and snacks.
