NEWPORT NEWS, Va.: In partnership with Brooks Crossing Innovation Lab, Unreasonable Kids College presents Youth Climate Activist Sarah Goody as the key speaker for a virtual Earth Day seminar. The seminar is scheduled for April 22, 2021, at 6 p.m. EST and to register, participants can visit unreasonablekidscollege.org.

Sarah Goody is a high school student from Marin County, California. She is passionate about raising awareness of climate change and empowering youth to act for their future. She is also a vegan and believes it is important to educate others about the relationship between animal exploitation and climate change.

"I am excited to share my social justice journey with Unreasonable Kids this Earth Day and help parents and youth closely examine the role of young people in the climate movement. Because when it comes to being an environmental advocate, age is just a number," says Goody.

Goody has worked with several environmental organizations and is a youth council member at the non-profit Greening Forward. She strikes for climate change in front of the San Francisco City Hall every Friday, which she began after joining youth activist Alexandria Villaseñor in striking at the New York United Nations.

The hope of the event is to inspire Kid-leaders to become unreasonable thinkers when it comes to environmental issues. To encourage youth to become environmental activists, with a clear vision and dream that understands our past mistakes in not protecting the earth and is fully prepared to change it," says Ateba Whitaker, founder, and CEO of Unreasonable Kids College.

Unreasonable Kids College, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is a social, educational enterprise, training the next generation of kid-superheroes. The goal is to teach kids how to become unreasonable thinkers that see opportunities where adults see problems. The objective is to create opportunities for kids to tackle the goals set by the UN SDG. Unreasonable Kids College creates a safe, peer-to-peer, coach-led environment to facilitate and inspire world changers, as they learn how to release their fight for good.
