The teaser of the much awaited periodic drama ‘Kalank’ is finally out today.
The teaser of the much awaited periodic drama ‘Kalank’ is finally out today. Set in pre-independent era, the romantic drama has been directed by Abhishek Varman and has Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in lead roles. Kalank has been co-produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The movie marks the on-screen union of Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt, the hit pair of the 80s and 90s. Prior to Madhuri, late Sridevi was roped in for the role of Bahaar Begum.
The film started garnering a lot of buzz when the makers released the six character posters. And after few stills from the movie were out on social media, everyone was super excited about the teaser. The movie has been shot at a large canvas and the cinematography looks awe-strikingly alluring. A tale of two warring families, Kalank has all the potential of being a big success at the box office. The background score of the movie is another highlight of the teaser.
In the movie, Varun will be playing Zafar, someone who is ready to play with danger. Aditya, on the other hand, will be seen as a man of nobility, Dev Chaudhry and Sanjay will be essaying the role of Balraj Chaudhry, the most powerful voice of the table. Alia seems to be the on-screen love interest of Varun, while Sonakshi may portray the role of Aditya’s on-screen love.
This mid-week release also features Kriti Sanon, Kiara Advani and Kunal Kemmu in the pivotal roles and will hit the theatres on April 17, this year.
