His well-crafted sculptures have aspects of deity and nature which reaffirm his interest in figuration. The deity aspect represents lord Krishna, and nature directs towards livelihood including tree, bird & women. With a limited variety of themes, Rana has a perspective of sticking to these subjects. One of the famous series titled a “couple” & “We two” depicts a strong solidarity between man and woman.  The textures and sharp lines have been enhanced with the recent sculptures. A shiny golden line at the edge of a few sculptures made up of bronze glorifies a magic that will make you feel the power of love. The colour tone of the sculptures has now become a bit brighter as compared to old works which emphasizes that he has willingness to do many bronze sculptures.

“I am a strong believer of Osho. I read a lot about him and discovered that everyone is born with a talent. It is just that human must push and achieve. In my life, our family was involved in doing the works of metals. My father introduced me to this field, and I pave my path on my own. Right from the beginning I got to know about this is talent of mine. I joined an institution where I could enhance my skills and learn those things which I had no Idea. I closed my eyes and 50 years of me working went like lightning fast. I was entitled to so much love and support just because of my works.”
