Shooter Dadi Taapsee Pannu and Bhumika Pednekar's Saand Ki Aankh Trailer Out!
Bollywood's two most talented and gorgeous actresses Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu starrer Saand Ki Aankh is one of the most awaited films of the year. The trailer of Tappsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar's much-talked-about film ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ has just been released and it is a refreshing change from the regular sports biopics.
The trailer gives a peek into the extraordinary journey of the ‘Shooter Dadis’: Prakashi Tomar and Chandro Tomar, played by Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar respectively. The two picked up guns and became sharpshooting champions at an age when others plan retirement.
The trailer starts with Prakash Jha, in the role of Ratan Singh, saying, "Ye bandook mazak na hai. Ye mardo ka gehna hai aur mardo ke hath he achhi lage hai."
In the next scene, we see Chandro shooting at the bull's eye effortlessly, later joined by Prakashi. Chandro and Prakashi both want their granddaughters to learn shooting so that they don't have to live the oppressed life, similar to their grandmothers.
In an attempt to make their granddaughters learn shooting, they discover their own talent and love for shooting at the age of 60. The rest of the trailer shows their fight against society and how they overcome all the obstacles to win medals for the country.
While there were many controversies as to why two young actresses are starring the film based on the lives of 60 year old women, after watching the trailer you will definitely feel the star cast could not have been better.
The film also features Prakash Jha, Viineet Kumar, and Shaad Randhawa and is produced by Anurag Kashyap and Nidhi Parmar. The film will hit theatres this Diwali on October 25 and will probably clash with Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer comedy, Housefull 4.
