When 18-year-old Zaira Wasim earlier this week announced her decision to quit Bollywood, many argued about her choice. Some agreed, some disagreed. Our team at Apeksha News Network reached out to some celebs for their opinion, and here’s what they have to say!

Bollywood Choreographer Shabina Khan: It all depends upon your priority. I am also a very religious person, but I have to work. I have taken care of my entire family by working here (in Bollywood). The question is, do you only want to live as an Islamic person? I had to feed my entire family and so I had to balance it out. My mom always asked me to balance it out. If God has introduced you to this world, then you will have to live the way people live in this world. Yes, the work is such that you can’t do prayers five times a day, but in the end, when you come home you can pray at least once. Zaira feels that way because of her surroundings and her mentality. Due to Zaira’s statement, one should not hold Islam guilty like many people are doing. As it is not Islam that made her do that, it is what she is doing for Islam.

Actress Saba Saudagar: Such a fine actress. Will miss her. All of us go through this phase being a part of this industry. I hope she comes back soon. At this age, she was such a fine actress. In the later years, I could see her with the likes of Smita Patil.

Yuvraaj Parashar: Work is worship. It’s a belief which should not come in any one's way to success. The real reason behind Zaira's decision is known only to her. I think people need to stop lashing out on her. She is very young and has her entire life to make decisions. Her decision to quit Bollywood should be respected.
