Neena Gupta to make a comeback on TV with Saans 2
Neena Gupta, who was last seen in 2018, hit release Badhai Ho, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles, is back on television with Saans 2, the next installment of her award-winning show Saans. Ms. Gupta will be acting and directing the show.
In an interview with a leading web portal, Neena said, “I have pitched the idea to a few makers, and I am awaiting confirmation from them. I am also looking for a platform to showcase the show. However, I have made the pilot, and everything is ready. We will roll once things work out”. She also added, “It will be the same star cast as before. The show will be about the characters’ journey after eighteen years”.
However, it is not yet been confirmed that whether Saans 2 will be a TV show or a web series.
Saans was a popular series that aired on Star Plus from 1998 - 1999 featuring Kanwaljit Singh, Neena Gupta and Kavita Kapoor in main roles. The show was appreciated by viewers as it tackled the issue of marital infidelity. Neena will be next seen in the Vikas Khanna’s The Last Color, in which the director will be making his debut.
