Not once, not twice, not thrice - Mahatma Gandhi has proved himself as the Maha Atma (Great Soul) of the world.

He was honored with a noble prize 5 times. Besides this, 6 other Noble prize winners, have attributed their methods and principles to his. As a born journalist, he has written over 10 million words during his 40 years of life. Many people across the globe follow his path and love whatever he ever said or did. The list of his achievements is boundless.

Mahatma Gandhi was a great soul, a fact that cannot be denied. Recently, the light was shed on a Karnataka temple where he is being worshipped. Although he is worshipped in several other places of the nation like Telangana village, Orissa, and Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka has its own significance.

The name of the temple is Shree Brahma Baidarkala Garadi Kshetra. Commonly,  known as Garodi. The temple is just 4 km away from the heart of Mangalore, which makes it an attraction for travelers.

A devotee, Prakash Garodi says, “The temple was built in 1948 as a separate shrine for MG. His statute was recreated later on,  in the year 2006.” When it comes to appearance, the color of the statute is white as milk.

Mahatma Gandhi's living remarkably inspires Prakash. He cleans the temple fortnightly to make people aware about sanitation. Apart from this, Prakash also aims to spread the message of communal harmony, non-violence, and peace. “Sanitation and cleanliness have always been an integral part of Mahatma Gandhi’s living.” Prakash Garodi added.

Prakash Garodi isn’t the only devotee of Mahatma Gandhi; many other devotees arrive here with tea, coffee, and bananas to offer prayers 3 times a day.
