Maha: Man held for abetting suicide of MSEDCL staffer
Thane: One person has been arrested for allegedly abetting the suicide of an MSEDCL employee in Murbad in Thane district, police said on Monday.
MSEDCL wireman Suresh Ahire (54) had committed suicide on September 15 by consuming poison and then jumping into a drain, Murbad police station inspector Prasad Pandhare told PTI.
"A suicide note found at the scene said two people had cheated him of Rs 10 lakh, due to which he was ending his life. One of them has been arrested and efforts are on to nab the other. They have been booked under IPC and SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act sections," he said.
