Light to moderate rainfall in isolated parts of UP
Lucknow: Light to moderate rainfall and thundershower occurred at isolated places in the state in the last 24 hours, the meteorological department office here said on Friday.
While Deoband (Saharanpur) recorded 5 cm downpour, Gaighat (Ballia) and Allahabad recorded 4 cm each, Salempur (Deoria) and Muzaffarnagar 3 cm each and Lalitpur 2 cm, it said.
The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded by the BHU observatory in Varanasi at 35.7 degrees Celsius, while the lowest minimum of 23.6 degrees Celsius was registered in Etawah, the weather office said.
It predicted rainfall or thundershowers at many places in the western part of the state and a few places in the eastern part on Saturday.
