Light to moderate rain in parts of UP
Lucknow: Parts of Uttar Pradesh received light to moderate rain Friday, giving respite from the heatwave.
According to the MeT office, 4 cm of rainfall was recorded in Kakardariyaghat followed by Moradabad, Amroha, Bhogoun and Katrniaghat, where 3 cm of rainfall was recorded.
Sidhauli, Eligin bridge, Gonda and Nawabganj (Bareilly) received 2 cm of rainfall.
According to the weatherman, the maximum 47.4 degree Celsius temperature was recorded in Jhansi.
The MeT Department said the heatwave was likely to continue on Saturday.
