Have you observed your partner spying on your personal mobile phone? You didn’t like that attitude. Right?

Well, who would like such an attitude?

This does not only make you hate the other person but also results in a breakup. However, there some relationships that survive even after spying. In fact, some studies have even shown the motivation behind such behavior.

Whatever we are going to study here has derived from the meeting “Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems.”

Back then, researchers recruited around 102 people and ordered them to recall those past experiences in which they broke the privacy and accessed into the phone of someone they personally know. They were also asked to tell whether someone has accessed their phone or not.

Participants were requested to draw the incident from beginning to end and tell what eventually happened to their relationship. There were 46 people who participated in which 21 said that their relationship was ended while 25 said the relationship survived.

An author Ivan Beschastnikh said, “Relationships ended because of the trust. Once a partner loses trust in the other person, the relationship automatically gets worse. Apart from this, the main reason for the breakups can be a weak or unimportant relationship.”

According to the author, only those relationships survived in which the victim proved his or her commitment towards the other person.

The author told that those people tend to spy who often want to be the controller in the relationships or somehow feel jealous. Besides, there are other types of fake partners who want to spy because of the information or financial gains.

Beznosove explained that if you really care about your private data, you should not keep passwords that are guessable enough. He told that your partner, kids, friends, or even colleagues can easily observe or guess PIN or other kind of passwords. Thus, a biometric identification authorization is recommended by the author.

Along with the author, researchers have also suggested that if you don’t trust the people around you; make sure that you keep your phone with you while taking a shower or bathroom break. According to them, it is the prime time for snooping.

Data is another type of currency that people should take care of. It doesn’t matter how close you are to the other person. If you don’t trust your partner in the first place, then you should ensure that the data is well protected. Otherwise, you may lose your bank balance, business details, private life, or anything that is crucial.
