Georgia's Foolay DC Nabs Hip-Hop Mixtape Of The Year
ATLANTA: Hailing from Warner Robins, Hip-Hop Artist Foolay DC a.k.a. Big Alien God took home the coveted Mixtape Of The Year Award at the 2019 Atlanta Hip Hop Awards.
Anonymously nominated for the honors, Foolay DC was notified that he was in the running just a few weeks before the awards show. Stacked up against other talented artists, DC's one-of-a-kind style, flair and flow separated him from the pack. His body of work reigned supreme and the judging committee deemed his project worthy of the golden microphone statue.
"I appreciate you all for believing in me and getting behind my talent," says Foolay DC after accepting the award.

Joined by his management and record distribution company, Foolay's win was a win for all. Acknowledging his work ethic, his manager, Nadia Pierce-Rucker expressed her excitement for her client:
"I am absolutely proud of him! He is an amazing artist with undeniable talent and irresistible energy. This win is great motivation to keep climbing until we reach the top."
Garnering the hip-hop honor at the beginning of the second quarter is further confirmation that 2019 is a magical year for the Alabama born artist. Since the start of the year he was picked up by Flawless Entertainment, LLC, gained distribution through the renowned Coalition DJs network, and most recently dropped a new single, Know What It Is.
The new single, which Foolay affectionately refers to as #BiggestSongOf2019 is currently charting #26 on the DJ charts—with positioning above 21 Savage, Meek Mill and the City Girls. In addition to support from DJs and radio stations, it's no question that the southern artist's 11K+ instagram following has his back. They have been participating in his Know What It Is challenge—submitting videos of themselves covering the trendy song's lyrics.
With summer kicking off soon, Foolay DC's calendar includes performances at colleges, festivals, showcases and an extended press run promoting his charting single. Plans to release the next hit are in the works.
