Cyber Bullying Against Law
Cyber Bulling

According to researchers, children who are not involved in cyber bullying are those that receive most affection from their parents, and signs of encouragement of independence and good humour.

Children who happily talk to their parents about things that interest them and worry them. On the other hand, those children who have less interaction with their parents are supposed to be the victim of cyber bullying.

Cyber bullying or bullying of any type is against the law. It can have horrible outcomes that will hurt others and sometimes it can lead to crimes, revenge, murders or even cause deaths to innocents that had nothing to do with it in the first place.

We don’t have a right to cause any pain to any person for whatever reason. And we have all the rights to complain against those who are harming us in that way.  In 2013, Indian Parliament made amendments to the Indian Penal Code and introduced cyber bullying  as a criminal offence. Its a  parents responsibility to make aware their childrens about the cyber bulling and law made by government considering cyber bullying as a criminal offence .

Cyber bullying is the use of technology like the internet, email, cell phones, social media or pictures to harass, threaten, embarrass, or target a person. Usually, it occurs among young people. But when an adult is involved, it may mean cyber harassment or cyber stalking, a crime that can have legal consequences and also include imprisonment.

Recent studies confirm that without the intervention of teachers in class, cyber bullying increases among students. Specifically, in the article ‘Asegurate: An Intervention Program against Cyber bullying Based on Teachers’ Commitment and on Design of Its Instructional Materials’, the behaviour and opinions of a total of 4,779 students in 5th and 6th grade in compulsory primary and secondary education (48.9% girls) are taken into account.

“The cases of online victims, online aggressors, and victims of cyber bullying goes down when interventions are made by teachers who have had specific training and have used the Asegurate teaching package,” said Rosario del Rey, lead researcher of the study.
